The Old Souq is estimated to be built before 180 years; it is part of Al-Arsa market, which has four entrances to protect the old shops inside it. A series of shops were built around one of these entrances, which were expanded in a subsequent stage to create a roughly straight chain of shops which has very narrow lanes between it. The old Souq is well known of its traditional look and shops selling textiles, spices, carpets and household items.
