Founded in the year 1981 on an approximate area of 4800 square meter in Al-Jubail area near to the central mall, the market comprises 118 separate shops each of 16 meter square, car parking is also available for 600 cars. The Souq design based on the Arab-Islamic architecture and decorations, consisted of ground and first floor, with four arch shaped entrances, walls and main entrance were decorated with engraved geometrical Islamic figures and some verses of the holly Quran and the Market Entrance Prayers, following the tradition of the Prophet “Mohamed”.
